Get Involved

There are many ways to Feed the Valley. Food Banks need three things most – Food, Money and Volunteers. Here’s how you can get involved and do your part to Feed the Valley:

FOOD
You can donate food at any Valley First or Valley First Insurance office. A map can be found here.   We can only accept non-perishable items, but you’re not limited just to food! You can also donate baby supplies, toiletries, etc.

MONEY
The best thing most people can donate to their local food bank is money. Why? Because food banks generally have much greater buying power than the average person does. This is because of partnerships they have with local grocery retailers and other stores. They can purchase as much as $3 worth of food for every $1 you donate – so it’s a great way to do the most amount of good as you help to Feed the Valley

You can visit any Valley First branch to make a donation. This can be either a one-time donation (no amount is too small – so go ahead – clean out your piggy bank!), or set up a pre-authorized donation, just like you would do with a savings account. You call the shots with this one – how often and how much (like every payday, or once a month). You’ll get a confirmation at the time of the deposit, and a tax receipt from the food bank in the mail.
